Those who come in trust and desperation and seeking GOD too often find the side of mans flesh and not the Spirit of God. They are chewed out, berated, stood over, condemned, talked about, set aside, sat down, rejected, avoided, belittled and the list goes on. All in the name of 'HELPING righteously', 'FIXING', 'TEACHING them a lesson' and 'RIGHTEOUS judgements'... I believe we are to judge the actions and the fruits of man. We are not to make sure they are broken but to see them through to repentance, maim more just to be sure they are sorry, set aside to see if they will live or die just to be sure they were sincere nor to kill the wounded. YET too often that is exactly what is done. All in the practice of obeying God in "bare ye one anothers burdens". All in the practice of "pastoring and mentoring". Yet so wrong. Power trips have as little a place with the saints of God as does complacency for the things of God. Both will lead to contempt for God.
If you cannot obey and fulfill the 1st verse in Galations 6, you cannot obey and fulfill the second. Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. :2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
How long since you have been TRULY SPIRITUAL and determined outside your flesh to restore such a one? How long since you truly practiced MEEKNESS and humbled yourself before God in such a manner? How long since you truly CONSIDERED YOURSELF when going before another in any other manner than that which God commanded us to? How long since you have truly been in a position to honestly and earnestly BARE ANOTHERS BURDENS???
YES there comes a time we are to mark them and avoid them, not when they are at fault, struggling in the flesh (that is part of being human). As long as you live in a human body you will be tempted and you will yield to temptation. When they are no longer Apostolic in desire/manner/practice then remaining right with God yourself deal with them according to His word. Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. :18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
An earnest attempt at restoration comes first...
